Participants will take a virtual grocery store tour to plan food for the week ahead, learn how to read labels, and make wise decisions while shopping. This clinic will begin with a quick review of how to stock a healthy kitchen, followed by a practical step by a step process to determine inexpensive and time saving strategies to prepare menus that support busy schedules. Emphasis will be placed on:
Choosing nutrient dense foods
Determining meals and snacks
Increasing energy and organization
Ana Alexandre RNCP, RHN, is a holistic nutritionist, certified personal trainer and performer. She is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, a member of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants, and the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals. She is an enthusiastic speaker and has developed unique programs that combine nutrition and fitness for a holistic approach to health and wellness. Ana is the founder of Vital Life Design and leads nutrition and lifestyle-based seminars both in corporate and community environments. She teaches natural whole foods cooking, vegetarian cooking, and leads grocery store tours and kitchen clean-ups. She is also a former student of Humber College’s Theatre Performance Program.

Describe their ideal day job
Evaluate recent employment and new job options
Plan for next steps
Anne Carbert is a career counsellor and coach. She emphasizes meaning, creativity, and quality of life as she helps people to craft satisfying careers. Anne has a master's degree in counselling psychology and specializes in supporting people navigating unconventional and self-directed career paths. She offers personal development workshops as well as individual counseling.

This clinic will help you manage stress and increase your daily energy and vitality. Participants will explore low impact movements and deep-breathing exercises to help strengthen and rejuvenate the creative process and enhance general health. Special emphasis will be placed on stress management involving:
the mind, body, spirit connection
how posture and optimal alignment are related to health
how to perform a “personal health inventory” to decrease negative effects of stress and increase energy
Dr. Anita Shack B.F.A., D.C., F.A.T.A. uses an integrated approach in her work at the Artists’ Health Centre. She combines chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, and acupuncture, customizing care to the individual artist’s needs and goals. Fascinated with the body/mind/spirit connection, she is concerned not only with the relief of symptoms, but also with getting at the cause to facilitate change and healing. She was an original representative of the Health Care Practitioners meetings at the inception of the Artists’ Health Centre and was founding director of Health Focus, an integrated multidisciplinary alternative health care center in downtown Toronto from 1992-2005.
Dr. Shack performed as an independent modern dancer/choreographer from 1974-1986 in Canada and the United States and was a member of the Dance Music Orchestra. She has experience with Yoga, Pilates, Karate, Tai Chi, Feldenkrais Method, Alexander Technique, writing, photography, and music which serve to inform her work. She has extensive experience working with artists from many disciplines, including: dance, theatre, film, visual arts, music, and writing. Over the last 22 years she has seen how different modalities enhance each other, maximizing the benefits of care and the achievement of wellness.
