Hey, so there's a few places you can get copper but it depends on how much you need. Solway Metals at Lansdown and Bloor is my fav. They have tons of copper scrap that is usually adequate for jewellery purposes. Bring some work gloves and wear shoes for the treasure hunt. A couple years ago i found some 1mm sheet about 20cm x 100cm for 15$. They also sell new copper sheeting in the 2' by 4' range but it's much more expensive. Just a note - they only work in imperial (thousanths of an inch) and sell by weight for scrap. So i suggest you figure out what you need beforehand instead of doing what i did & sound like a total noob.

"20 thou" = ~0.5mm
"40 thou" = ~1.0mm
"60 thou" = ~1.5mm

lacy's sells sheet as well and so does active surplus - if you need something quick.

hope that helps - good luck on your hunt. alastair.

Hi Mary
I deal with Peckovers in Concord. All new material but they will cut to size. Copper is pricey especially if you re only taking a small part of a sheet. You must order ahead this is an industrial supplier and is not a stop in and shop kind of place. Best to call and get a quote on what you need. They also have brass and other products as well. They will ship, usually by UPS or Fedex.

Thank you. I'll make sure I need a lot before I call.

I actually just saw some copper sheet at Lacy's which is Queen and Church (55 Queen St. E). Not sure what the pricing is or what the thickenesses are, but they may be worth a call.
